Pumpkin Patch 2010

About mid-august I start looking forward to taking the girls to the pumpkin patch.  I absolutely love it.  When we lived in Central Oregon there weren't very many around but now that we are over in the valley there are so many to choose from.  This year we went to Willamette Valley Fruit Company.  I love that place.  I first went there this summer with the girls to pick blueberries and strawberries.  This year Uncle Jon was able to come with us.  The girls are pretty much obsessed with "Unkie Jon".  There were a ton of activities for the girls to do, but they pretty much had one thing on their mind...pumpkins!  I'm not sure where their fascination with pumpkins came from.  This year will be the first year we plan to carve them.  The girls went on a cute little barrel train ride, but seconds into it Kenzie opted out which left Maddie riding alone.  She seemed to do okay but by the time she got back is was apparent that she was not enjoying herself.  The corn maze was great because there were three different length options.  We took the shortest route and it still took us 15 minutes or so.  I cannot imagine if we had attempted anything longer.  There was a giant sand box filled with corn that Jon, Josh and the girls couldn't get enough of.  We each found our perfect pumpkins and headed home.
